ABOUT US
Seattle Digital Signage received approval from the City of Seattle to install
digital screens in any Seattle taxicab. The network comprises of over 800 taxicabs that cover all of King
County. The digital screens will be installed in the headrests of each taxicab and will air news
headlines, local events, weather reports, educational content, financial quotes, traffic maps,
and advertising on screens using remotely managed software developed by Seattle Digital
Signage. The taxi network will also provide WiFi Internet access to passengers at no charge.
Mike Draghici, President of Seattle Digital Signage, comments “We are very excited to receive this
approval from the city after running a successful test phase with mostly positive feedback from
passengers that had a chance to ride in the initial 10 Orange Cabs we had installed. This innovative
digital media network will create a new way to communicate with citizens and tourists all over this
region. By having the ability to remotely manage the content displayed on the screens we can provide
useful and valuable up-to-the minute information to captivate and entertain passengers during their
ride. This taxi entertainment network is also a great solution for advertisers looking to jump on the
digital media bandwagon and reach their target audience with proven return on investment.”
Digital signage refers to customizable displays that can be changed on-the-fly to reflect differences in
the viewing audience from location to location, morning to afternoon, etc. Seattle Digital Signage is
rapidly-evolving in this industry and aside from the Taxi network, has an ever growing network of hightraffic
screen locations throughout downtown Seattle and surrounding areas.
